Their method has been lauded and now prescribed by movement specialist neurologists. Beyond just seeing impressive physical improvements, the boxers in the program can look forward to a community of people who are going through the same challenges. Rock Steady Boxing is a family.
There are more than 1 million people in the United States diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and Rock Steady Boxing’s goal is have gyms and communities everywhere offering their programming. The training doesn’t need a lot of fancy equipment; to work, it just needs passionate people ready to make a difference in the lives of those with Parkinson’s.
