Organization: Parents for Peace and Justice
When Elizabeth Ramirez lost her son to senseless violence, she cried out for help. Robert Torres, a neighbor and local businessman, answered the call and together they founded Parents for Peace and Justice.
Parents for Peace and Justice is a grassroots community nonprofit on Chicago’s west side. They offer programs that prevent violence, help people affected by violence, and seek justice for victims of violence.
