826NYC provides a creative environment for public school students to practice writing and confident self-expression. Featuring New York City’s only Superhero Supply Store as the source of inspiration, the tutoring center gives one-on-one attention to students who need homework help, or who want to explore creative and expository writing. All Superhero Store proceeds directly fund 826NYC. Across the US, creative programs fall victim to public school budget cuts. 826NYC is part of a nationwide movement to fill the void by inspiring children to write, and teachers to foster students’ writing skills. Currently, 826 tutoring programs — also in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Michigan — captivate children with themed stores that fund a noble mission: to rescue the hidden creative powers within every child.
